Fun Wedding at Clock Barn Wedding Venue in Hampshire

Zhara & Joe’s wedding was a fun, upbeat celebration at Clock Barn Wedding Venue in Whitchurch, Hampshire. Zhara’s family & friends flew in from Canada to enjoy the celebrations in the Hampshire countryside. Clock Barn provided the cosy atmosphere and large spaces for the couple, their family & friends to create an incredible vibe. Here’s a look at the wedding, and what makes this venue one of my favourite venues in Hampshire!

Why Clock Barn is One of my Favourite Hampshire Wedding Venues

Clock Barn is a venue that’s tucked away in Whitchurch, Hampshire - not too far from Winchester. It’s surrounded by rolling hills and farms as far as the eye can see, so you really are in your own little wedding paradise with your family & friends. From the moment you walk up to the barn, past the famous clock where the venue gets it’s namesake, you get this comfortable, cosy feeling of a venue that’s designed for weddings, but feels almost homely.

When I say cosy, I don’t mean small either. Clock Barn has a large main barn area for the ceremony & the wedding breakfast, a smaller area next door for an indoor reception and dancing, and the snug room which is perfect for an intimate winter ceremony, or just to hang out in the evening. The outdoor spaces at Clock Barn continue that warm feeling, as it all feels immaculately presented with plenty of seating, and tonnes of space, but equally it’s small enough that you’ll never lose your guests if they go exploring.

From a videographer’s perspective, I love that everything is in one place at Clock Barn. The ‘getting ready’ room is one of the bigger rooms I’ve seen at a wedding venue (if a little bit dark at times), but it’s right across from the main barn. I find that at bigger venues, guests can spread out or go missing which can make the wedding feel disjointed, but here, everyone stays in one place and that makes a huge difference to the atmosphere of the wedding day.

I can truly say that if you’re looking at Clock Barn in Hampshire for your wedding, or you’ve already booked it, then you’re in for a great experience with a truly professional team, plenty of space for activities, and a modern wedding with a rustic barn feel.

Favourite Moments from Zahra & Joe’s Clock Barn Wedding

As soon as I jumped on a call with Zhara & Joe before I booked them in, I knew I loved these guys, and that their wedding was going to be the best kind of vibe. Zhara’s family and friends were bringing the Canadian energy, and they’d put so much time and effort into every detail, including the best personal vows and some super heartfelt speeches.

The day started with the bridesmaids and bride dancing around in Clock Barn’s ‘getting ready’ room - the music, the vibes, the energy, everything was setting up to be a great day. Sure enough, the ceremony didn’t disappoint. Some incredibly thoughtful, emotive and funny personal vows from both Zhara & Joe, were followed by a memorable walk back up the aisle.

Top tip: When you’re announced as husband and wife, and walk back up the aisle together, embrace every moment and take it slow - cheer, celebrate, hold your flowers in the air, stop for a kiss in the middle of the aisle - this is your moment, so embrace it and take it in.

Zhara & Joe did this, and didn’t take it too seriously when their ‘twirl’ in the aisle went a bit wrong, and that marked the start of a stunner of a day,.

The sun shined bright as the couple celebrated on the lawn at Clock Barn for their reception drinks with some lawn games (would highly recommend for some guest entertainment and video content). After this they sat down for dinner and started the speeches, which were probably some of the best speeches I’ve seen. Laughter, tears, genuine advice for the couple and stories flowed throughout the speeches, and at the end I felt like I’d known the couple for years.

Sunset had to be my favourite part though - We took the bridal party out for a champagne spray and the bride disappeared for a moment. When she returned, she came back in a stunning evening dress, and the bridal party went wild, breaking out into singing a song from Grease. Just those things you can’t script, are the real moments that I love on a wedding day.
