Avington is seriously up there when it comes to dreamy Hampshire wedding venues. Tucked just a few miles from Winchester, it brings together countryside charm and modern elegance in one gorgeous package. If you’re picturing a relaxed outdoor ceremony followed by a sunset boat ride and drinks on the lawn, this is your spot.
Why I love Filming at Avington
From a videographer’s point of view, Avington is a dream. The orangery is filled with beautiful natural light which makes wedding breakfasts look magical on film. There’s also a cool old library that gives off a bit of a secret-society vibe which perfect for a unique evening party setup. The flow of the day works effortlessly here, and the staff are on it. Every wedding I’ve filmed at Avington has run like clockwork.

Why Millbridge Court is a Top Barn Wedding Venue in Hampshire
Millbridge Court is ideal if you’re after that barn wedding vibe but with a clean, modern twist. This Hampshire wedding venue sits just above Frensham, right near the Surrey border, and is super accessible for guests travelling from all over. The outdoor ceremony space really is a highlight. It feels tucked away and peaceful, like your own little garden wedding bubble.
My Experience Filming at Millbridge Court
This venue is such a winner for wedding videography. The barn has huge windows that flood the space with natural light, which makes both the ceremony and wedding breakfast look incredible. The private gardens are great for reception drinks and give you plenty of space without losing that intimate feel. It’s genuinely one of the best barn wedding venues in Hampshire if you're after a bright and stylish day.

Silchester Farm is a modern barn wedding venue in Hampshire, located in a remote spot between Basingstoke and Reading. It's classy, full of charm, and surrounded by rolling countryside. There’s a gorgeous outdoor ceremony area by the pond, and the gardens are beautifully kept. All while being on a working farm (yes, you might see some friendly animals in the fields!).

What I really love about Silchester is how it takes you on a journey. You might start your ceremony at the Lakeside, move over to the Hen House Courtyard for reception drinks, then head into the Cow Shed for your wedding breakfast and evening party. It gives your guests a full experience and breaks up the day in such a fun way.

From a filming point of view, the Cow Shed is a standout space — one of the biggest and most flexible barns I’ve worked in across Hampshire wedding venues. Whether it’s summer or off-season, it always looks amazing with its big windows, statement lighting and modern styling. The flow is ideal for capturing natural moments throughout the day.

I’ve filmed at Bury Court a few times and I always love the light, the layout, and the variety of locations on-site. The outdoor ceremony area is beautiful, and the barn works well for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. Plus, the sunsets here hit just right, especially in the garden.
